Diese Europäische Norm legt einpolige, temperaturkompensierte Störlichtbogen-Schutzschalter mit oder ohne Signalkontakten für Nennströme von 3 A bis 25 A für den Einsatz in Luftfahrzeugbordnetzen fest. In jedem Betriebszustand wird eine Freiauslösung sichergestellt. Diese Schutzschalter dienen dazu, das Bord-netz von Luftfahrzeugen vor Überlastungen des Stromkreises und Störlichtbögen zu schützen. Sie beschreibt die spezifischen Umwelt-, elektrischen und mechanischen Eigenschaften und die Stringenz der entsprechend den Prüfverfahren nach EN 3841-100 durchzuführenden Prüfungen. Wenn die Auslegung der Störlichtbogen-Schutzschalter Software oder komplexe Hardware umfasst, müssen die Software und die Hardware mindestens in Übereinstimmung mit EUROCAE ED-12B oder C / RTCA DO-178B oder C, DAL C und EUROCAE ED-80 / RTCA DO-254, DAL C entwickelt sein. Diese Störlichtbogen-Schutzschalter sind für den Einsatz in Luftfahrzeugen mit Stromversorgung nach EN 2282 vorgesehen.
