Diese Norm gilt für unbeschichtete kreisförmige Hüllrohre aus Stahl mit wendelförmiger Profilierung bis zu einer Nennweite von 130 mm sowie deren Verbindungsteile (Muffen), die als Spannkanal für Spannglieder in Spannbetonbauteilen mit nachträglichem Verbund verwendet werden. Sie gilt nur für Hüllrohre und deren Verbindungsteile, die durch Falzen oder Schweißen aus Bandstahl hergestellt werden. Bei beschichtetem oder verzinktem Stahl sind zusätzliche Festlegungen, die nicht in dieser Norm behandelt werden, zu berücksichtigen. Zusätzliche Anforderungen können mit den einschlägigen Festlegungen am Verwendungsort des Produkts übereinstimmen. Hüllrohre aus Kunststoff werden nicht behandelt. Die erforderlichen Abdichtungen von Verbindungsteilen sind nicht Gegenstand dieser Norm.
