Diese Europäische Norm legt zwei Verfahren fest, die zur Bestimmung der Dichte aller Arten von Klebstoffen anwendbar sind. Eines der angeführten Verfahren wird bei flüssigen Klebstoffen, das andere bei festen, sehr viskosen oder pastösen Klebstoffen angewandt. Die Dichte (Quotient aus Masse und Volumen) einer Probe wird bei 23 °C als Quotient der Masse des gegebenen Klebstoffvolumens und der Masse des gleichen Volumens einer Bezugsflüssigkeit bekannter Dichte, multipliziert mit deren Dichte, gemessen.
