Diese Norm legt die Grenzabmaße und Formtoleranzen für warmgeformte Schmiedestücke aus Aluminium und Aluminiumlegierungen üblicher Formgebung für allgemeine technische Anwendungen fest. Sie gilt für: Gesenkschmiedestücke ohne allseitige Bearbeitung: formgebundene Maße nmax = 2 000 mm und nichtformgebundene Maße tmax = 600 mm und projizierte Fläche A = 4 000 cm2; - Gesenkschmiedestücke mit allseitiger Bearbeitung: formgebundene Maße nmax = 6 000 mm und projizierte Fläche A = 22 000 cm2; Freiformschmiedestücke: Profilmaße nmax = 8 000 mm. Toleranzen für Schmiedestücke, die außerhalb des Anwendungsbereiches dieser Norm liegen oder eine komplizierte Formgebung aufweisen, können zwischen Lieferer und Käufer vereinbart werden.
