Dieser Teil 1 der EN 588 gilt für Faserzementrohre, Rohrverbindungen und Formstücke für Rohrleitungssysteme zum Transport von Misch-, Schmutz-, und Regenwasser unter atmosphärischem Druck. In dieser Norm werden nur die gebräuchlichsten Formstücke behandelt (Abzweige und Bogen). Dieser Teil 1 enthält Regelungen für die allgemeine Zusammensetzung, für die Klassifizierung, für geometrische Kenngrößen, mechanische und physikalische Eigenschaften, für Abnahmeprüfungen, Typprüfungen und für die Qualitätslenkung. Für Abwasserdruckleitungen werden Faserzementrohre und Rohrverbindungen nach EN 51 2 verwendet, unter zusätzlicher Beachtung des Abwassertransports. ANMERKUNG 1 : EN 588-2 gilt für Einsteigschächte und Inspektionsschächte aus Faserzement. ANMERKUNG 2: Gelegentlich und kurzzeitig auftretende Überdrücke bis zu 100 kPa sind zulässig.
