Die vorliegende Norm behandelt Prüfverfahren, welche für die Bestimmung der Kennmerkmale von Bauelementsystemen von medizinischen diagnostischen Röntgeneinrichtungen genau definierte Strahlungsbedingungen erfordern. Ausgenommen bei der Mammographie gilt diese Norm nicht für Bedingungen, bei denen Unstetigkeiten in der Strahlungsabsorption von Elementen für die Veränderung der Eigenschaften des Strahlenbündels (zB durch Filter aus seltenen Erden) bewußt verwendet werden. Geschwindigkeitsmessungen von Folienfilmsystemen sind nicht enthalten.
