Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt das Frick-Taber-Verfahren zur Ermittlung des Verschleißverhaltens der Nutzschicht von Polyvinylchlorid-Bodenbelägen unter Laborbedingungen. Das Prüfverfahren ist für Polyvinylchlorid-Bodenbeläge mit ebener Oberfläche geeignet. Es ist anwendbar, um das Verschleißverhalten von Oberflächen gegenüber Abrieb zu ermittteln und erlaubt innerhalb eines Produkttyps eine Einteilung in Typen mit verschiedener Nutzschicht. Es ist nicht geeignet zum Vergleich des Verschleißverhaltens verschiedener Materialien, z.B. Gummi und Polyvinylchlorid.
