Behandelt sind Seitenkanalpumpen für schwere Beanspruchung mit Nenndruck PN 40. Seitenkanalpumpen sind Flüssigkeitspumpen, die ohne zusätzliche Hilfseinrichtungen die Eintrittsleitung evakuieren und dadurch die zu fördernde Flüssigkeit selbsttätig ansaugen. Sie müssen im stationären Betrieb ein Flüssigkeits-Gas-Gemisch mit einem Gasanteil von mindestens 30 % des Volumens, bezogen auf den Eintrittszustand, fördern können. Bedingt durch besondere Gegebenheiten, zB. Temperatur, Werkstoff, Wellendichtung, muß der zulässige Betriebsüberdruck nicht in jedem Fall den Nenndruck erreichen.
