Es wird ein Verfahren zur Messung der Temperaturleitfähigkeit monolithischer keramischer Hochleistungswerkstoffe beschrieben, welches mit einer Genauigkeit von U 5 % für Werkstoffe mit Temperaturleitfähigkeiten von 0,1 mm2/s bis 100 mm2/s und Temperaturen über -180 °C eingesetzt werden kann. Im Detail sind Angaben über das Meßverfahren, die Geräte, die Beschaffenheit und Positionierung der Probe sowie über die Probennahme und die Datenerfassung enthalten. Weiters sind Angaben über die Durchführung der Tests, die Kalibrierung der Geräte und die Berechnung Ergebnisse (Berechnungsmethoden) enthalten. Im Anhang A sind die mathematischen Ableitungen enthalten und im Anhang B Anweisungen für Fälle, in denen der Versuchsablauf nicht dem Idealfall entspricht.
