Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen für vier Typen von Schläuchen und Schlauchleitungen mit Drahtgeflechteinlagen vom Nenndurchmesser 5 bis 51 fest. Sie sind geeignet zur Verwendung mit: - Hydraulikflüssigkeiten nach EN ISO 6743-4 mit Ausnahme von HFD R, HFD S und HFD T in einem Temperaturbereich von -40 °C bis +100 °C; - Wässrigen Flüssigkeiten in einem Temperaturbereich von -40 °C bis +70 °C; - Wasser in einem Temperaturbereich von 0 °C bis +70 °C. Diese Europäische Norm enthält keine Anforderungen an die Armaturen. Sie beschränkt sich auf die Leistungsfähigkeit der Schläuche und Schlauchleitungen.
