1.1 Diese Norm gilt für folgende Maschinen, die zur Verarbeitung von Materialien für die Herstellung von Schuhwerk eingesetzt werden: - automatische und manuell bediente Aufrau-, Ausglas- und Poliermaschinen - automatische und manuell bediente Kantenbearbeitungsmaschinen 1.2 Diese Norm gilt nicht für modular aufgebaute Schuhreparaturmaschinen. 1.3 Diese Norm spezifiziert Sicherheitsanforderungen über Konstruktion, Aufbau und Betrieb. Sie berücksichtigt bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung, vorhersehbaren Missbrauch und das Bauteil- und Systemversagen. 1.4 Diese Norm berücksichtigt alle für die Schuh-, Leder- und Kunstlederwarenindustrien wichtigen Gefährdungen. Der Einsatz von Maschinen in anderen als im Anwendungsbereich dieser Norm vorgesehenen Industrien kann zu Gefährdungen führen, die bei ihrer Erstellung nicht berücksichtigt wurden. 1.5 Diese Norm gilt nicht für Aufrau-, Ausglas- und Polier- und Kantenbearbeitungsmaschinen, die vor ihrem Veröffentlichungsdatum als EN hergestellt worden sind.
