Die verschiedenen in diesem Dokument beschriebenen Verfahren zur Messung dieser Eigenschaft liefern nicht zwingend identische Ergebnisse. Die beschriebenen Prüfverfahren sind zur Bestimmung aller Mehrkomponentenklebstoffe geeignet, insbesondere für Klebstoffe auf Epoxid- und Polyurethanbasis, jedoch nicht für einige Acrylklebstoffe.
