Dieser Teil von ISO 10545 beschreibt ein Verfahren mit Farbmessgeräten zur quantitativen Bestimmung kleiner Farbabweichungen (Farbabstand) zwischen einfarbig glasierten Fliesen und Platten, die so hergestellt wurden, dass sie eine einheitlich übereinstimmende Farbe haben. Das Verfahren erlaubt die Spezifizierung eines akzeptablen Höchstwertes, der nur von der Nähe der Übereinstimmung und nicht von der Farbe selbst oder der Art der Farbabweichung (Farbabstand) abhängt. Dieser Teil von ISO 10545 ist nicht anwendbar für Farbvariationen, die aus gestalterischen Gründen hergestellt wurden.
