Dieses Dokument legt für die Durchstrahlungsprüfung die Zulässigkeitsgrenzen für Anzeigen von Unregelmäßigkeiten von Stumpfschweißnähten in Stahl, Nickel, Titan und deren Legierungen fest. Falls vereinbart, können die Zulässigkeitsgrenzen auf andere Arten von Schweißnähten (z. B. Kehlnähte usw.) oder andere Werkstoffe angewendet werden. Die Zulässigkeitsgrenzen können sich auf Schweißnormen, Anwendungsnormen, Spezifikationen oder Codes beziehen. Dieses Dokument geht davon aus, dass die Durchstrahlungsprüfung für RT-F (F = mit Filmen) nach ISO 17636-1 oder für RT-S (S = Radioskopie) und RT-D (D = mit digitalen Detektoren) nach ISO 17636-2 durchgeführt wurde.
