Dieses Dokument legt Anforderungen an 13 Klassen von im Lieferzustand befindlichen Stahldrahtschrot-Strahlmitteln für Strahlprozesse fest. Zusammen mit Bezeichnungen für die entsprechenden Klassen legt es Korngrößenbereiche fest. Für die Härte, die Dichte, die Anforderungen hinsichtlich Defekten/Struktur, das metallographische Gefüge und die chemische Zusammensetzung werden Werte angegeben. Dieses Dokument ist anwendbar auf Stahldrahtschrot, der für Strahlprozesse geliefert wird, der durch Schneiden von neuem kaltgezogenem Draht hergestellt ist. Die in diesem Dokument festgelegten Anforderungen sind nur anzuwenden für unbehandelte neue Strahlmittel, die aus fabrikneuem Draht hergestellt sind. Sie sind nicht anzuwenden für Strahlmittel während oder nach der Verwendung.
