Dieses Dokument legt ein Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung von Fremdbestandteilen in metallischen Strahlmitteln fest. Der Zweck dieser Prüfung ist es, den Anteil festzustellen, zu dem das Strahlmittel durch Fremdbestandteile verunreinigt ist. Der Anteil an Fremdbestandeilen, z. B. Oxide und Schlackenrückstände, wird durch magnetische Trennung bestimmt. Dies ist ein Teil aus einer Reihe von Teilen von ISO 11125, die die Probenahme und die Prüfung von metallischen Strahlmitteln behandelt. Die Strahlmitteltypen und Anforderungen an diese sind in den verschiedenen Teilen von ISO 11124 enthalten. Die Normenreihen ISO 11124 und ISO 11125 wurden als zusammengehöriger Satz von Internationalen Normen über metallische Strahlmittel ausgearbeitet. Angaben über alle Teile der beiden Normenreihen sind in Anhang A enthalten.
