Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung von gelöstem Bromat in Wasser (z. B. Trinkwasser, Mineralwasser, Rohwasser, Oberflächenwasser, teilweise behandeltes Wasser oder Badewasser) fest. Eine geeignete Probenvorbehandlung (z. B. Verdünnung) erlaubt die Bestimmung von Bromatkonzentrationen größer gleich 0,5 µg/l. Der Arbeitsbereich ist durch die Kapazität der Trennsäule begrenzt. Eine Probenverdünnung in den Arbeitsbereich kann erforderlich sein.
