Diese Norm legt das Dissolver-Verfahren für die Herstellung von PVC-Pasten aus Vinylchlorid (VC)-Polymerisaten fest. Diese PVC-Pasten dienen sowohl der Charakterisierung verschiedener VC-Polymerisate hinsichtlich ihrer rheologischen Eigenschaften als auch der Kontrolle auf Gleichmäßigkeit verschiedener Lieferungen.Dieses Verfahren kann auch zur Herstellung von Pasten anderer Zusammensetzung (z. B. mit Stabilisatoren) benutzt werden, wobei die so hergestellten Pasten nicht zum Zwecke der Charakterisierung von Polymeren herangezogen werden können.
