Dieses Dokument legt Maße, Leistungsanforderungen und Prüfverfahren für Einschraubzapfen der schweren Reihe (S-Reihe) und der leichten Reihe (L-Reihe) mit Gewinde und die damit verwendete Elastomerdichtung (Form E) nach ISO 228-1 fest. Einschraubzapfen der schweren Reihe (S-Reihe) mit Dichtung der Form E, die diesem Dokument entsprechen, können bei Arbeitsdrücken bis 63 MPa (630 bar) eingesetzt werden. Einschraubzapfen der leichten Reihe (L-Reihe) mit Dichtung der Form E, die diesem Dokument entsprechen, können bei Arbeitsdrücken bis 25 MPa (250 bar) eingesetzt werden. Der zulässige Arbeitsdruck ist von Größe, Werkstoffen, Konstruktion, Betriebsbedingungen, Anwendung, usw. abhängig. Dieses Dokument ist anwendbar für Verschraubungen nach ISO 8434-1, ISO 8434-2 und ISO 8434-6.
