Es gilt für Schwimmhilfen nur für Erwachsene und Kinder mit einer Körpermasse von über 25 kg, die in geschützten Gewässern verwendet werden. Die Schwimmhilfen erfordern eine aktive Teilnahme des Benutzers, wo Hilfe und Rettung in der Nähe sind. Einteilige oder zweiteilige Schwimmanzüge mit Feststoff-Auftrieb für besondere Einsatzzwecke werden nach den Anforderungen von ISO 12402-6:2020 zugelassen.
