Diese Internationale Norm legt Bewertungsgruppen von Unregelmäßigkeiten in Laserstrahl-Lichtbogen-Hybridschweißverbindungen für alle Arten von Stahl, Nickel und seinen Legierungen fest. Sie ist für Materialdicken größer gleich 0,5 mm anzuwenden. Die drei Bewertungsgruppen sind so angelegt, dass sie eine breite Anwendung in der schweißtechnischen Fertigung erlauben. Sie werden mit B, C und D bezeichnet. Die Bewertungsgruppe B entspricht den höchsten Anforderungen an die Schweißnaht. Die Bewertungsgruppen beziehen sich auf die Fertigungsqualität und nicht auf die Gebrauchstauglichkeit (siehe 3.3) des gefertigten Erzeugnisses.
