Diese Internationale Norm legt die Anforderungen an das Martindale-Scheuerprüfgerät und die Hilfsmittel, die bei den in ÖNORM EN ISO 12947-2 bis ÖNORM EN ISO 12947-4 festgelegten Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Scheuerbeständigkeit von textilen Flächengebilden angewendet werden, fest. Diese Norm gilt für die Prüfgeräte zur Prüfung von Web- und Maschenwaren; Flortextilien mit einer Florhöhe bis 2 mm; Vliesstoffen. Diese ÖNORM enthält die Europäische Berichtigung AC:2006 mit der die Einleitung, Abschnitt 5.3 a), Bild 1 bis Bild 6, Bild 8, Tabelle 1 und Tabelle 3 korrigiert wurden.
