Dieses Dokument legt das Verfahren für die Bestimmung der Probenzerstörung (Endpunkt der Prüfung) durch Untersuchung nach festgelegten Intervallen fest, wobei dieses Verfahren auf Proben aus allen textilen Flächengebilden einschließlich Vliesstoff anwendbar ist, ausgenommen sind jedoch die textilen Flächengebilde, für die deklariert wurde, dass sie nur bei geringer Scheuerbeanspruchung eingesetzt werden. Dieses Dokument ist nicht auf beschichtete Flächengebilde anwendbar (einschließlich laminierten Flächengebilden). Wenn das Abriebverhalten der beschichteten Oberfläche eines beschichteten Flächengebildes bestimmt werden soll, sind die in den verschiedenen Teilen der ISO 5470 beschriebenen Verfahren anzuwenden.
