Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Berechnung des stationären spezifischen Transmissions- und des stationären spezifischen Lüftungswärmedurchgangskoeffizienten von vollständigen Gebäuden und Gebäudeteilen fest und liefert die entsprechenden Vereinbarungen. Sie ist sowohl auf den Wärmeverlust (Innentemperatur höher als Außentemperatur) als auch auf den Wärmegewinn (Innentemperatur geringer als Außentemperatur) anwendbar. Für die Anwendung dieser Internationalen Norm wird für den beheizten oder gekühlten Raum eine einheitliche Temperatur angenommen. Anhang C legt ein stationäres Verfahren zur Berechnung der Temperatur in nicht konditionierten Räumen, die an konditionierte Räume angrenzen, fest. Tabelle 1 zeigt die relative Position dieser Internationalen Norm innerhalb des EPB-Normenpakets.
