Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Prüfverfahren zur beschleunigten Bestimmung der Beständigkeit von Email-Überzügen auf Aluminium und Aluminiumlegierungen gegen Abplatzen durch Einwirkung von Feuchte und Witterungseinflüssen fest. Da das Abplatzen durch mangelhafte Haftung des Überzuges auf dem Grundmetall verursacht wird, stellt dieses Prüfverfahren eine Prüfung auf Haftung dar. Je mehr Abplatzungen bei dieser Prüfung auftreten, desto größer die Wahrscheinlichkeit des Abplatzens des Überzuges von im Einsatz befindlichen Gegenständen.
