Dieser Teil von ISO 13934 legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Höchstzugkraft und Höchstzugkraft-Dehnung an textilen Flächengebilden mit dem Streifen-Zugversuch fest. Die Prüfung gilt hauptsächlich für gewebte Textilien, einschließlich Flächengebilde, die durch Vorhandensein von Elastomerfasern oder durch mechanische oder chemische Behandlung elastische Eigenschaften aufweisen. Sie kann auch auf Flächengebilde angewendet werden, die nach anderen Techniken hergestellt wurden. Üblicherweise ist sie nicht anwendbar auf Geotextilien, Vliesstoffe, beschichtete Flächengebilde, Glasfasergewebe und textile Flächengebilde aus Kohlenstofffasern oder Polyolefinbändchengarnen (siehe Literaturhinweise). Das Verfahren legt die Bestimmung der Höchstzugkraft und Höchstzugkraft-Dehnung sowohl an Messproben im Normalklima zum Prüfen als auch im nassen Zustand fest. Für dieses Verfahren sind nur Zugprüfmaschinen mit konstanter Prüfgeschwindigkeit (CRE) einsetzbar.
