Dieses Dokument legt die Verfahren und Annahmekriterien für Herstellungsprüfungen und untersuchungen (manchmal als "erstmalige Prüfung" bezeichnet) für Ventile fest, die nach ISO 10297 ausgelegt und baumustergeprüft wurden. Dieses Dokument gilt für a) Flaschenventile für wiederbefüllbare ortsbewegliche Gasflaschen, b) Hauptabsperrventile (ausgenommen Kugelhähne) für Flaschenbündel, c) Flaschenventile oder Hauptabsperrventile mit integriertem Druckregler (VIPR, en: valve with integrated pressure regulator), und d) Ventile für Druckfässer und -rohre. Die Grundsätze dieser Herstellungsprüfungen und -untersuchungen können nutzbringend auf Flaschenventile angewendet werden, die nach nationalen oder nach von ISO 10297 abweichenden Internationalen Normen baumustergeprüft wurden.
