Diese Internationale Norm legt die Probenmaße und das Verfahren der Kopfzugprüfung an Punkt- und Buckelschweißverbindungen an überlappten Blechen aus beliebigen metallischen Werkstoffen der Blechdicke von 0,5 mm bis 3 mm fest, wobei die Schweißverbindungen einen maximalen Durchmesser von Wurzel 7 t haben (t ist die Blechdicke in mm). Das Ziel der Kopfzugprüfung ist die Bestimmung der Zugkraft, die die Probe ertragen kann.
