Dieses Dokument legt Anforderungen an und Prüfverfahren für Saugschläuche aus Gummi und Kunststoff für die Brandbekämpfung fest. Diese Schläuche können auch für die manuelle Zuführung von drucklosem Wasser zur Pumpe oder zur Wasserabgabe verwendet werden. Zusätzliche Anforderungen werden für Schlauchleitungen, d. h. Schläuche mit bereits montierten Kupplungen, für den Fall festgelegt, dass der Einband durch den Schlauchhersteller erfolgte. Schläuche des Typs A (Gummi) sind für den Einsatz bis zu einer niedrigsten Temperatur von -20 °C und Schläuche des Typs B (Thermoplaste) für den Einsatz bis zu einer niedrigsten Temperatur von -10 °C vorgesehen.
