Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Gesamtgehalts an Vitamin A (Retinol) in Futtermitteln und in Heimtierfuttermitteln mittels Hochleistungs-Flüssigchromatographie (HPLC) fest. Der Vitamin-A-Gehalt ist der mit dem in dieser Internationalen Norm beschriebenen Verfahren bestimmte Gehalt an all-trans-Retinylalkohol und cis-Isomeren. Er wird in Internationalen Einheiten je Kilogramm (IE/kg) ausgedrückt.
