Die Festlegungen beziehen sich auf den Scher- und Zugversuch, die Prüfung der Restnietdorn-Verriegelungsfähigkeit, die Prüfung der Nietdorn-Ausdrückkraft sowie die Prüfung der Nietdorn-Bruchkraft selbst. Die Prüfbedingungen gelten bei Temperaturen von 10 °C bis 35 °C.
