Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zum Bestimmen der Widerstandsfähigkeit einer einzelnen Schicht aus einem Beschichtungsstoff oder der obersten Schicht eines Mehrschichtsystems gegen Kratzer fest, bei dem ein spitzer Stichel mit einer kontinuierlich ansteigenden Last verwendet wird. Diese Prüfung wurde zum Vergleich der Kratzbeständigkeit unterschiedlicher Beschichtungen als nützlich befunden. Sie ist besonders geeignet, wenn bei einer Reihe beschichteter Probenplatten mit deutlich unterschiedlicher Kratzbeständigkeit relative Einstufungen erhalten werden sollen.
