Diese Europäische Norm legt Verfahren zur Probenahme von Klebstoffen und verwandten Produkten mit dem Ziel fest, einheitliche Proben passender Größe zu erhalten, die die Produkte, denen Proben entnommen werden, eindeutig repräsentieren. Die so entnommene(n) Probe(n) muss sich zur Untersuchung und Vorbereitung vor ihrer Prüfung eignen. Die Verfahren lassen sich für Produkte anwenden, die vor Gebrauch die Zugabe oder das Einmischen von Katalysatoren oder Vernetzern erfordern, wobei von jeder Komponente getrennt Proben zu entnehmen sind. Die Verfahren sind jedoch nicht auf die Pobenahme aus einem Klebstoffstrom anwendbar (in diesem Falle können Proben nach ISO 8213 entnommen werden). Dieses Verfahren gilt nicht für tierische Leime.
