In der vorliegenden Internationalen Norm werden die Typeneinteilungen, die Anforderungen für dentales Gusswachs sowie die entsprechenden Prüfverfahren festgelegt, damit die Übereinstimmung mit den Anforderungen dieser Norm festgestellt werden kann. Die vorliegende Internationale Norm gilt für dentales Gußwachs, das zur Herstellung von Wachsmodellen für festsitzenden Zahnersatz im "Wachsausschmelzverfahren" verwendet wird. ANMERKUNG: In dieser Internationalen Norm werden keine besonderen qualitativen und quantitativen Anforderungen zum Ausschluss biologischer Risiken gestellt. Zur Beurteilung möglicher biologischer Risiken wird empfohlen, ISO 10993-1 und ISO 7405 heranzuziehen.
