Dieser Teil von ISO 16526 legt ein Verfahren zur nichtinvasiven Messung der Röntgen-Röhrenspannung unter Verwendung des Energiespektrums fest. Er deckt den Spannungsbereich von 10 kV bis 500 kV ab. Es ist beabsichtigt, die Übereinstimmung der aktuellen Hochspannung mit dem auf dem Steuerpult angezeigten Wert festzustellen. Dafür wird ausschließlich die Grenzenergie bestimmt, nicht aber das komplette Energiespektrum. Das Verfahren ist sowohl für Eintank-Halbwellen-Anlagen als auch für Röntgen-Gleichspannungsanlagen geeignet.
