Das für geschlossene Profile dargestellte Konzept ist für den Fall der Rundheitsfilterung anwendbar. Dieses Konzept kann gegebenenfalls auf verallgemeinerte geschlossene Profile erweitert werden, besonders für Oberflächenprofile mit Wiederholungsmerkmalen. Einzelheiten zur Anwendung sind in Anhang A für offene Profile und in Anhang B für geschlossene Profile angegeben.
