Dieser Teil von ISO 16634 legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Gesamtstickstoffgehaltes und zur Berechnung des Rohproteingehaltes von Getreide, Hülsenfrüchten und gemahlenen Getreideerzeugnissen fest. Dieses Verfahren unterscheidet, wie auch das Kjeldahl-Verfahren, nicht zwischen Protein-Stickstoff und Nicht-Protein-Stickstoff. Zur Berechnung des Proteingehaltes werden verschiedene Umrechnungsfaktoren verwendet.
