Dieses Dokument legt ein Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung des Zersetzungsgrads von Kunststoffmaterialien unter festgelegten Bedingungen in einer aeroben Kompostierprüfung im Technikumsmaßstab fest. Es ist Teil eines Gesamtschemas zur Bewertung der industriellen Kompostierbarkeit von Kunststoffen, wie in ISO 17088 dargelegt. Das in diesem Dokument festgelegte Prüfverfahren dient auch zur Bestimmung des Einflusses der Prüfsubstanz auf den Kompostierungsprozess und die Qualität des erhaltenen Komposts. Dieses Prüfverfahren kann nicht zur Bestimmung der aeroben Bioabbaubarkeit einer Prüfsubstanz angewendet werden.
