Diese Internationale Norm beschreibt ein Verfahren: - zur Verifizierung der Fluchtungsfehler des Krafteinleitungssystems einer Prüfmaschine, indem ein Referenzprobekörper gleichmäßig auf Zug oder Druck beansprucht wird; und - um Hinweise zu Fehlern zu liefern, z. B. Torsions- und Biegefehler, um diese zu korrigieren. Diese Internationale Norm ist nicht vorgesehen, um eine quantitative und zulässige Grenze anzugeben vor der Prüfung von Verbundwerkstoffen mit keramischer Matrix und unidirektionaler (1D), bidirektionaler (2D) sowie mehrdirektionaler (xD, mit 2 < x kleiner oder gleich 3) Faserverstärkung, die entlang einer der Verstärkungs-hauptachsen beansprucht werden. Diese Grenze hängt von der Empfindlichkeit des jeweiligen Verbundwerkstoffes gegenüber den Fluchtungsfehlern ab.
