Dieser Teil der Internationalen Normenreihe gibt Anleitung zum Lärmmanagement von Schießaktivitäten auf Schießplätzen. Er befasst sich mit der Überwachung von Geräuschen, die an bestimmten Immissionsorten außerhalb von Schießplätzen einwirken, entweder auf der Grundlage von gemessenen oder von berechneten Schallexpositionspegeln. Dieser Teil kann auch für die Planung neuer oder die Sanierung bzw. den Umbau bereits vorhandener Anlagen herangezogen werden. Er ist anwendbar für Kaliber kleiner als 20 mm, für Treibladungen von weniger als 50 g TNTÄquivalent sowie für Schalldrücke von weniger als 1 kPa an Immissionsorten.
