Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Lagerung von Probekörpern aus Kunststoffen ohne äußere Beanspruchungen in flüssigen Chemikalien fest sowie Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Änderungen von Eigenschaften, die sich aus dieser Lagerung ergeben. Nicht erfasst wird die umweltbedingte Spannungsrissbildung, die in den unterschiedlichen Teilen der ISO 22088 beschrieben wird. Diese Norm berücksichtigt nur die Prüfung durch Eintauchen der gesamten Oberfläche des Probekörpers. Die vorliegende Norm ist auf alle festen Kunststoffe anwendbar, die aus Form- oder Strangpressmaterialien bestehen oder in Form von Platten, Rohren, Stäben oder Folien vorliegen und dicker als 0,1 mm sind. Auf Schaumstoffmaterialien ist sie nicht anwendbar.
