In diesem Teil von ISO 17512 wird ein Screening-Schnellverfahren zur Bewertung der Lebensraumfunktion von Böden auf der Grundlage des Vermeidungsverhaltens von Collembolen festgelegt. Die Prüfung ist ein Schnellverfahren, das die Bioverfügbarkeit von Verunreinigungen in natürlichen Böden und von Böden zugesetzten Substanzen für Folsomia candida wiedergibt. Der gemessene Parameter der Prüfung ist das Vermeidungsverhalten der Collembolen. In beiden Fällen ist es möglich, eine Dosis-Wirkungs-Beziehung herzustellen. Es besteht nicht die Absicht, mit dieser Prüfung den Collembolen-Reproduktionstest zu ersetzen.
