Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Größenverteilung von partikelförmigen biogenen Brennstoffen durch das horizontale Rüttelsiebverfahren fest. Es ist anwendbar für partikelförmige, unkomprimierte Brennstoffe mit einer nominellen Siebgröße von 3,15 mm und darüber, wie z. B. Holzhackschnitzel, Schredderholz und Olivensteine. Das Verfahren ist zur Charakterisierung von Material bis zu einer Partikelgrößenklasse (P) von P63 vorgesehen. Bei höheren P-Klassen und PL-Klassen erfolgt die Charakterisierung hauptsächlich durch Handsortierung.
