Dieser Teil von ISO 1833 legt ein Natriumzinkat-Verfahren zur Bestimmung des prozentualen Anteils an Viskose-, Cupro- oder Modalfasern, nach dem Abtrennen der nichtfaserigen Begleitstoffe, in Textilien aus binären Fasermischungen aus Viskose- oder aus den gebräuchlichsten Cupro- oder Modalfasern und Rohbaumwolle, entschlichteter, gebeuchter oder gebleichter Baumwolle fest. Bei Vorhandensein einer Cupro- oder Modalfaser sollte eine Vorprüfung durchgeführt werden, um festzustellen, ob diese in dem Reagenz löslich ist. Das Verfahren gilt weder für Fasermischungen, bei denen sich die Baumwolle hochgradig chemisch abgebaut hat, noch wenn sich die Viskose-, Cupro- oder Modalfaser bei Vorhandensein bestimmter dauerhafter Ausrüstungen oder Reaktivfarbstoffe als nicht vollständig löslich erweist.
