Dieses Dokument legt die Einteilung von Flussmitteln zum Hartlöten von Metallen fest und charakterisiert diese Flussmittel nach ihren Eigenschaften und ihrer Verwendung und enthält technische Lieferbedingungen sowie Gesundheits- und Sicherheitsmaßnahmen. Dieses Dokument erfasst zwei Klassen von Flussmitteln: FH und FL. Die Klasse FH wird zum Hartlöten von Schwermetallen (Stähle, nichtrostende Stähle, Kupfer und Kupferlegierungen, Nickel und Nickellegierungen, Edelmetalle, Molybdän und Wolfram) verwendet. Die Klasse FL wird zum Hartlöten von Aluminium und Aluminiumlegierungen verwendet.
