Diese Internationale Norm gilt für galvanisch abgeschiedene und Cr(VI)-frei passivierte Zinküberzüge und Zinklegierungsüberzüge auf Eisenwerkstoffen. Die Zinklegierungsüberzüge enthalten als Legierungselement Nickel oder Eisen (bezeichnet als Zink/Nickel- oder Zink/Eisenüberzüge). Hauptzweck der Überzüge oder Überzugssysteme ist der Korrosionsschutz von Bauteilen aus Eisenwerkstoffen. Diese Internationale Norm legt Folgendes fest - die Bezeichnungen für die zuvor angegebenen Überzugssysteme; - die nach festgelegten Prüfverfahren zu erreichende Mindestbeständigkeit gegen Korrosion; und - die hierfür erforderliche Mindestschichtdicke.
