Dieses Prüfverfahren wird sowohl für die Messung der Absatznagel-Haltefestigkeit von Absatzmaterialien, wobei ein Normabsatznagel und ein Nagelungsverfahren verwendet werden, als auch für die Einschätzung des Absatzaufnagelns einer handelsüblichen Fertigung verwendet. Dieses Prüfverfahren ist für die Prüfung von Kunststoff- und Holzabsätzen für Damenschuhe anzuwenden. Absätze aus Faserpappeschichten oder Leder und niedrige Kunststoffabsätze für Herrenschuhe können mit diesem Verfahren nicht geprüft werden.
