Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Prüfverfahren zur Messung der Kraft fest, die erforderlich ist, um den Oberfleck von der Unterseite des Schuhabsatzes zu lösen. Die Prüfung gilt für Absätze, die von fertigen Schuhen entfernt wurden und deren Oberflecke bereits angebracht sind, bis hin zu Absätzen allein mit angebrachten Oberflecken und in manchen Fällen für Absätze mit gesonderten Einsteck-Oberflecken. Alle Absätze, ausgenommen verstärkte dünne Absätze mit Oberflecken, die mit Stahleinpresszapfen befestigt sind, und aufgebaute Absätze, dürfen nach diesem Verfahren geprüft werden.
