Zwei Prüfungen werden durchgeführt, eine mit einem trockenen und eine mit einem nassen Reibgewebe. Das Verfahren ist anwendbar für alle Typen von farbigem Leder. Da sowohl Nachbehandlungen von Leder als auch Zurichtungen der Oberfläche den Grad der Farbübertragung beeinflussen können, kann die Prüfung vor und/oder nach derartigen Behandlungen durchgeführt werden.
