Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Farbmenge fest, die von der Oberfläche von farbigem Leder auf andere Oberflächen durch Reiben mit einem weißen Baumwollgewebe übertragen wird. Zwei Prüfungen werden durchgeführt, eine mit einem trockenen und eine mit einem nassen Reibgewebe. Das Verfahren gilt für alle Typen von farbigem Leder. Da sowohl Nachbehandlungen von Leder als auch Zurichtungen der Oberfläche den Grad der Farbübertragung beeinflussen können, kann die Prüfung vor und/oder nach diesen Behandlungen durchgeführt werden.
